TEACHERS & CREW

All of our mainstream teachers understand the mechanics of dance and are well experienced at teaching partner dance to everyone from absolute first timers to already skilled dancers.  They understand that everyone learns at different rates and aim to ensure your growth on the dance floor.  They want you to be the best the best version of you and they want you to enjoy every moment.

A self-confessed dance addict, Emma has danced several styles but more than just dance, she loves to teach.  Her passion is helping others to find the joy that dance brings.  With a string of Championship titles (too many to mention) she and her team at Le Step on the Coast strive to provide fun but informative classes and believes not in being better than anybody else, but in becoming the best version of yourself.  Known for her knowledge of partnering skills, she can be found teaching all over the world with her dance partners Matt & Zac and believes the skills that make the best dancers comes from time on the social dance floor - which is where you'll find her the happiest.

Choreographer
Performer

After initially being dragged along to a Modern Jive class, Matt discovered a flair for performing and has gone on to become both a brilliant performer and teacher with an understanding of partnering that comes from hard work and a love for dance.  Matt's dance accolades speak for themselves with a long list of competitive achievements that is far too long to put here.  Matt has taught all over Australia and New Zealand with his teaching partner Emma, and when he's not choreographing showcases or team routines, he can be found preparing music for the events he DJ's to ensure any dance night he attends is full of good energy, creating the infectious desire to dance.

Zac had his very first partner dancing class with Le Step on the Coast just before his 13th birthday and has gone on to become one of Australia's best, in both Modern Jive and West Coast Swing.  After being a fulltime student at Ikin Dance Australia where he became proficient in solo styles as well, Zac  and his Freestyle partner Emma, can now be found teaching and performing all over the world.  His medal tally is ridiculous so we'll just leave it at that.  Suffice to say, Zac is best known for his ability to bring out the best in everyone he dances with while always showing his flair for musicality and not letting his competition results dictate who is on the social dance floor - coz that's where it's at.

Mainstream Teacher (MJ)
Private Lessons

After having his first ever dance class in 2007, Brent became a true dance addict and has spent a lot of time developing his skills to become one of our teams most sought after leaders.  Proficient at all things MJ, Brent excels at making his way around the room to make sure he gets to as many followers as he can for a dance.  He has competed at many dance events both Nationally and Internationally and has accumulated his fair share of medals along the way.  As an Advanced dancer, Brent knows that it's not the medals that make the dancer.  He believes in Le Step on the Coast's social floor focus as that is where he refined the skills that have made him the strong leader he is today.
